Music theory / Musicianship

Music Theory and Musicianship classes offer a creative and engaging approach to understanding music from within.

In these 45-minute group sessions, students explore the fundamental elements of music — rhythm, melody, pulse, harmony, and form — through a dynamic combination of movement, storytelling, singing, and creative activities. Rather than focusing solely on written theory, these classes encourage an embodied and intuitive understanding of musical concepts.

Through games, improvisation, and collaborative exercises, students develop their listening skills, inner hearing, rhythmic accuracy, and musical awareness. The use of imagination and narrative helps make learning both meaningful and memorable, allowing each student to connect personally with the material.

These sessions support not only theoretical knowledge but also overall musicianship, complementing instrumental or vocal study and fostering confidence, creativity, and ensemble skills.

Classes are held in small groups, creating a supportive and interactive environment where each student is encouraged to participate, explore, and grow musically.
